About EU-CODE

European Co-Creation in Diversity (EU-CODE) is a European cultural initiative dedicated to reshaping the landscape of wind orchestras through inclusivity, innovation, and collaboration.
Spanning 30 months, EU-CODE brings together four dynamic partners:
- Conservatorio di Musica “Santa Cecilia” di Roma (Italy)
- Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (Hungary)
- Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain)
- ACe20 – Communication for Europe (Italy)
Together, we believe in the transformative power of music as a tool for social inclusion, cultural exchange, and creative growth.
Our Mission
EU-CODE aims to:
- Promote co-creation among European wind orchestras and musicians;
- Foster cultural diversity and gender mainstreaming in music practices;
- Highlight body percussion as an inclusive, accessible, and engaging musical form;
- Encourage sustainable approaches to cultural production and mobility.
What We Do
🎼 1. Best Practices Exchange
Workshops and research focus on the organizational and artistic evolution of wind orchestras: from audience engagement and inclusion to sustainability and creative innovation.
🎵 2. Musicians’ Mobility
Seminars and exchange programs allow musicians to travel, collaborate, and explore themes such as gender equality, environmental responsibility, and musical experimentation.
🤝 3. Co-Creation & Musical Residencies
Artists across Europe co-create new compositions through collaborative residencies, blending traditional wind instruments with body percussion and exploring the richness of European diversity.
🎉 4. EU-CODE Festivals
Two major festivals will celebrate the outcomes of the project, showcasing the diversity, talent, and co-created works developed throughout the program.
🌱 5. Sustainability in Culture
EU-CODE implements and monitors sustainability strategies, minimizing the environmental impact of artistic practices and promoting green cultural events.
📣 6. Dissemination & Visibility
A strong communication strategy ensures that the lessons, outputs, and values of EU-CODE reach a wide European audience, including institutions, educators, musicians, and cultural operators.
Our Vision
EU-CODE envisions a vibrant, connected, and inclusive European music scene where wind orchestras are spaces of dialogue, innovation, and diversity. By empowering musicians and communities, we aim to set new standards for sustainability, participation, and artistic excellence.
